General Questions
The Walk-in Specialist Emergency Clinic is a stand-alone facility offering Specialised Emergency care based in the community. WiSE provides immediate medical attention when an accident or illness requires more than a GP visit but is considered non-life threatening and you don’t want to wait hours in a Hospital Emergency Department.
The Walk-in Specialist Emergency Clinic is staffed by Specialist Emergency Physicians. Emergency medicine is a recognised speciality within medicine where the focus is on immediate diagnosis, resuscitation and treatment of patients with an acute medical condition. Our Specialist Emergency Physicians known also as FACEMs (Fellows of the Australasian College for Emergency Medicine) have completed specialist training and passed their Fellowship or ‘Consultant’ Exam in Emergency Medicine. Our Specialist Emergency physicians continue to work in local Trauma and Emergency Departments across Sydney.
The Walk-in Specialist Emergency Clinic is staffed only by Specialist Emergency Doctors. The WiSE Specialist Emergency Clinic is able to provide on-site assessment, diagnostics (Radiology and Pathology) with immediate results and treatment of a broad range of medical conditions and injuries. WiSE offers a sophisticated clinical setting, where patients will be exposed to advanced diagnostics techniques and clinical procedures on site performed by highly experienced healthcare Specialists.
