Clinical Scope
WiSE is staffed by Emergency Medicine consultants and our facilities are equipped with a majority of items you would see in a public Emergency Department. That is why we are confident we can handle most patients. However, there are a few cases where patients should go from your practice directly to your closest emergency department.
Conditions include:
- FAST Positive
- Confirmed STEMI
- Uncontrolled internal bleeding
- Current loss of consciousness
- Mental health
- Hemodynamically unstable
- ABC compromised
- Major trauma
- Greater than 15% burns or facial burns
- Neonatal sepsis
- Altered GCS

A simple referral is fine.
Referring a patient
Emergencies
If you are referring a patient to be seen by our emergency team, a simple referral is fine.
The patient can bring it with them and walk in at any time during the day. We will send a discharge summary and the results of any investigations to you via secure messaging after the consultation.
Infusions
If you are referring a patient for an iron infusion or zoledronic acid click and use our dedicated infusion clinic referral.
Bulk Billed Scans
If you are referring a patient for a bulk billed scan, feel free to use our online PDF. If the scan is clinically urgent call the respective clinic and alert the radiology team. We will ensure your patient is accommodated that day.
Our scans are reported on by a radiologist in 1 business day.
Pathology
WiSE can also run basic blood work without the need to see a doctor. Patients can walk in from 10am-10pm to get this done. Results are sent to you via secure messaging.
